Prism Kids is focused on supporting children, from Nursery through to Senior School on a range of Mental and Physical Health Behaviours; focusing on health and wellness from the inside out.
Our programmes range from physical activity, healthy eating, mental health awareness and confidence coaching. From assemblies to whole school programmes, our Chartered Psychologists work with children to understand:
Healthy eating; eating a rainbow, understanding why we eat fruits and vegetables
Active movement; the benefits of activity from our physical to mental health
Talking; understanding our mental health and talking to others
Confidence; stepping out of your comfort zone is good for mind and body.
Whole Year / Key Stage / School Assemblies ran by a Chartered Psychologist specialising in Children’s Behaviour. Classroom activities for a lesson, morning or afternoon session with fun individual, group and classroom activities. Follow up sessions for class, year group and key stage competitions.
Research shows children learn through play, interaction with a designated learning session, as well as educators away from their normal teaching environment. Top-down approach in challenging behaviours supports not only the children who already produce health behaviours, but benefits those that need the support without feeling singled out and ostracised. By learning through whole assembly fun, into classroom activities and follow up sessions, means the children are nudged into health behaviours by association, familiarity and learning.
