Experience
Since 2012, Rachael has worked alongside and supported school-based education programmes for Students, from Nursery to KS5, focusing on Psychology and Behaviour Change. More recently focusing on Secondary Schools, Sixth Forms and Colleges to highlight the benefits of Psychology as an interest, career and speciality.
Rachael is a Chartered Psychologist (BSc, MSc, PhD, CPsychol, FHEA), specialising in Health and Behavioural Psychology, and Lecturer across both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Psychology Courses. With her PhD specialising in the Psychology of Behaviour Change across the Lifespan, she has created Psychology focused training, teaching and workshops for Sixth Form / College Students and Health Care Professionals to benefit from a further and wider reaching understanding of ‘Psychology in the Real World’.

What is Human Behaviour, the psychological understanding of our behaviours, body language and communication, introduction to therapies including CBT, MI, ACT, Habit formation and behaviour change. The learning will focus back to a topic area relevant to the students, including understanding behaviour change and revision plans and goal setting. Course topics covered include, but not limited to:
What is Human Behaviour, the Biological, Psychological and Social understanding of Human behaviour development, creating successful habits and behaviour change. The learning will focus back to a topic area relevant to the students, including understanding a multifaceted views on human behaviour and habit formation for successful exam/revision plans. |

The spectrum of health and illness, the measurement of health and well-being, internal and external challenges to health, Stress and its effects. The learning will focus back to a topic area relevant to the students, including including the impact stress has on individuals and society, and stress reduction during exam/revision. Course topics covered include, but not limited to:
What is Human Behaviour, Socially acceptable to deviant behaviours, understanding maladaptive behaviours, addiction and addictive behaviours, introduction to prevention and treatments. The learning will focus back to a topic area relevant to the students, including adaptive and maladaptive human behaviours and successful behaviour strategies for successful exam/revision plans. |
Course topics covered include, but not limited to:
What is human identity and identity formation, how is identity developed, introduction to personality, the measurement of identity and personality, personality in the real world, personality and human behaviour. The learning will focus back to a topic area relevant to the students, including situational adaptation of personality, measuring personality understanding traits to support exam/revision plans. |
Course topics covered include, but not limited to:
The development of eating behaviours, the psychological perspective of eating behaviours, the quantity quality paradigm of eating, and the prevention and treatment of maladaptive eating behaviours. The learning will focus back to a topic area relevant to the students, including a multidimensional understanding of human behaviours in current society. |
